30th Professional and Academic Development Series (PADS) English A Lingua Franca And Critical Perspectives On Material Design
By framing his talk within a dialogue between the concepts of English as a Lingua Franca (ELF) and decoloniality. Professor Savio Siqueira aims to critically examine and discuss the so-called “plastic world” of ELT materials. In doing so, he seeks to foster a reflective process that drives concrete action, empowering pre-service and in-service English teachers to question, resist and actively engage in decolonizing ELT content through various interventions, both in the use and design of such resources.
